Woman accused of child sex crime is arrested

SULLIVAN – A Sullivan County woman was arrested after an Indiana State Police investigation into sex crimes against a child.

Indiana State Police initiated a criminal investigation after receiving information that a male, under the age of 14, had been molested.

After reviewing the investigation, Sullivan County Prosecutor Ann Mischler requested an arrest warrant for 30-year-old Rachel Martin. 

Sullivan County Superior Court granted an arrest warrant on August 21, 2023.  Martin was arrested by Trooper Bill Clark of the Putnamville State Police Post without incident yesterday on a felony charge of child molesting.

She is currently being held in the Sullivan County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
