Two were arrested on alcohol-related charges in Orleans

ORLEANS – Early Friday, August 18th, Orleans Officer Corbin Tye stopped a vehicle on State Road 37 for a traffic violation.

Officer Tye became suspicious that the driver, Caleb Conn, 28, of Bedford, was impaired.

Officer Tye contacted Trooper Noah Ewing. Trooper Ewing administered field sobriety tests which Conn failed.

Conn was transported to the Orange County Jail where he had a blood-alcohol content of 0.101. He was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction.

After Trooper Ewing left the scene, the passenger, Michael Arnold, 23, of Heltonville, became disorderly with Officer Tye and he was arrested on charges of public intoxicated and disorderly conduct.
