BEDFORD – In Thursday’s North Lawrence County Schools’ board meeting, Shawswick Elementary gained approval to purchase new playground equipment for the school.
The total cost of supplies is $320,230 for phase 1 of the process. An additional $8,000 is added for freight, and $133,058 for installation, bringing the total to $469,058.
The playground construction is scheduled to begin next year in April of 2024.
The playground will feature climbing walls, bridges, ramps, and slides, as well as free-standing structures such as swings, climbing structures, and a modernized variation of a see-saw.
