State Sen. Eric Koch reappointed to Probate Code Study Commission

STATEHOUSE — State Sen. Eric Koch (R-Bedford) was reappointed to the Probate Code Study Commission by Senate President Pro Tempore Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville).

The commission studies and considers needed changes to the probate code, trust code, and any other statute affecting the administration of a decedent’s estate, guardianship, probate jurisdiction, trust, or fiduciary.

Legislators will meet over the summer and fall months to discuss topics approved by the bipartisan  Legislative Council, which is comprised of 16 voting members – eight from the Senate and eight from the House of Representatives.

Koch serves as a ranking member of the Senate Committee on Judiciary and is an attorney with the Koch Law Firm P.C. He also serves on the Senate Committees on Commerce and TechnologyUtilities and Corrections and Criminal Law.
