Man arrested on sexual misconduct charge with a minor

VERMILLION CO. – Indiana State Police Putnamville Post initiated a criminal investigation on June 29, 2023, after receiving information from the Vermillion County Department of Child Service concerning allegations of sexual misconduct with a female, under the age of 16.

The investigation revealed that Lee Pearman, 38, of Cayuga, Indiana, had allegedly engaged in sexual misconduct with a female minor under the age of 16.  The allegations took place in Vermillion County.

After reviewing the investigation, the Vermillion County Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant on August 4, 2023, for Pearman.  Lafayette Trooper Brad Howell arrested Pearman on an active warrant on August 10, on a charge of sexual misconduct with a minor, a Class 5 felony. Pearman is currently being held on a $15,000 bond with 10% allowed.
