Obituary: Sharon Ann Waggoner

November 3, 1938 – August 9, 2023

Sharon Ann Waggoner, 84, of Bedford, passed away at 12:12 p.m., on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Stonebridge Health Campus.

Born November 3, 1938, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Oscar E. and Martha P (Benge) Turner. She was a CNA caregiver with Supportive Community Innovations. She attended the First Christian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Marsha Ochs and husband, Gary, Amy Holbrook and husband, Jim, all of Bedford; two sons, James Waggoner, and Jeff Waggoner both of Bedford; grandchildren, Stacey Ochs, Amanda Ochs, Adrian Waggoner and wife, Lillie, Josh Waggoner, Morgan McLarney and Michael, Daison Clemens and Gracie, McKayla Waggoner, A.J. Holbrook. Cameron Holbrook, and Sarah Holbrook; great-grandchildren, Gracie and Kade Walls, Kaitlyn, and Wyatt Waggoner, Emily Jo, Colton, Michael Waggoner, and Jocelyn Clemens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bernard Turner, Raymond Turner, John Turner, Kenneth Dean Turner, and Henry Turner (in infancy); sisters, Bernice Baker, Mavis Jean Turner, and Mildred Turner (in infancy).

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor William Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
