Storms hit Orange County, schools closed

PAOLI – Southern Indiana school districts impacted by the recent severe weather announced updates on school delays and closures for Monday.

The storms from late Sunday night into early Monday morning caused power outages and hazardous road conditions.

Crews are out clearing debris from the roads and working to get power back for residents after the heavy rainfall from late Sunday night into early Monday morning.

Paoli and Springs Valley Community Schools announced closures.

New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated Schools, Greater Clark County Schools, Borden-Henryville School Corporation, East Washington School Corporation, and CASI Head Start announced a two-hour delay.

Duke Energy confirmed crews are out working getting power restored for more than 15,000 customers without power as of early Monday morning.
