Indianapolis man arrested after a pursuit with police

MUNCIE – Early this morning, an Indianapolis man drove himself to the jail after a pursuit with police through the city of Muncie.

At approximately 3:00 a.m., Sergeant Nick Albrecht was patrolling the Muncie area, when he received information about a vehicle with a stolen registration near the intersection of Memorial Drive and Hackley Street. 

Sergeant Albrecht located the red, 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer and confirmed the registration on the vehicle was stolen.  After initiating a traffic stop, the driver attempted to flee from law enforcement.  After a short pursuit, the driver stopped the vehicle in front of the Delaware County Justice Center. 

A high-risk traffic stop was conducted on the driver and he was taken into custody without further incident.

Joshua Little

Sergeant Albrecht transported the driver, who was identified as Joshua G. Little, 44, of Indianapolis, Indiana, to the Delaware County Justice Center on charges of resisting law enforcement, theft, and driving while driver’s license suspended with a prior conviction.

Little also had three active arrest warrants for dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and auto theft.

Sergeant Albrecht was assisted by Master Trooper Jason Girt, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, and Yorktown Police Department.
