Bedford residents, get your recyclables to the curb!

BEDFORD – If you live in the Bedford City limits, the recycling truck will be in your neighborhood every other week, so it’s time to set out your recyclables for collection!

The recycling truck picks up your Recycling tub the same day as the automated trash truck picks up your trash.

Commonly asked questions:

  • What if I have too much to fit in the provided tub?

You are requested to use as many extra containers as necessary to get your recyclables out to the curb. As long as your products are separated into the proper categories, you can use as many containers as you like. Common extra containers include five-gallon buckets, crates, or trash cans.

  • Why are items left on my curb?

There are several reasons your items were left on the curb:

  1. Items were improperly separated
  2. Items left out were not recyclable
  3. Newspapers were wet – do not set out paper if rain is expected

Outside of scheduled pickup, the Bedford City Recycling Center is open for drop-offs at 3326 Mitchell Road.

  • Monday-Friday: 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
  • Saturday: 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
  • Sunday: 12 p.m. until 6 p.m.
