Man will spend time in prison for violating probation

BEDFORD – Lawrence County Superior Court II Judge Bob Cline sentenced David Carroll to serve 1,700 days in the Indiana Department of Correction on Thursday, July 20.

According to Lawrence County Prosecutor Sam Arp, Carroll had multiple probation violations that included drug usage, missing probation appointments, failing to comply with substance abuse programs, and being arrested on new criminal charges.

a defendant is unwilling to change their ways and become productive members of our community, the
the outcome will result in a prison sentence,” said Arp.

Carroll has an extensive criminal record including being arrested on numerous drug charges including possession of meth, possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest and maintaining a common nuisance.
