LAWRENCE COUNTY – The state of Indiana now requires that no charges are to be made for textbook rentals in North Lawrence County Schools. This update was adopted on July 20, 2023, by the NLCS school board regular session.
Additionally, there is to be no rental charge made for Chrome books used by students, though there is now an optional insurance/protection fee of $25 for the Chrome books in place that parents can pay.
Schools can now charge instructional fees for P.E., Music, and Art classes, to cover the cost of supplies for projects made by the students.
