Police ask sight-seers to stay out of Martin County

MARTIN CO. – The Martin County Sheriff’s Department is asking sight-seers to stay away.

People driving through the area to look at the damage caused by two tornados are causing major delays and safety issues for crews working in the area.

Although progress has been made in the last 24 hours, much more needs to be done.

Windom and Simmons Creek roads remain closed to non-local traffic.

Twenty-six Daviess-Martin County REMC customers remains without power Tuesday morning.
