BEDFORD – A Mitchell woman was arrested after police say she violated an active protective order.

Jennifer Eubanks

Police arrested 44-year-old Jennifer Eubanks, of Mitchell, on Wednesday, June 21 after a warrant was issued for her arrest on a charge of invasion of privacy.

According to a probable cause affidavit on August 12, 2022, at 5 p.m. three individuals went to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department to be questioned about an ongoing criminal investigation. Detective Andrea Barnett conducted the interviews. After the interviews, one of the individuals asked to speak to the detective alone.

She informed the detective she had an active protective order against Eubanks. She then showed the detectives messages she had received from Eubanks on her cell phone. The protective order was issued on July 21, 2022.

The detective requested a warrant to arrest Eubank for violating the protective order by texting the female and requesting messages be delivered to a second female in those text messages.
