BEDFORD – Ralph Anderson, a well-known pharmacist in Bedford, Indiana, has sold Lincoln Plaza real estate and pharmacy to Ryan Engleking from Engleking Rx to keep the independent pharmacy in the area.

Anderson and Engleking first met in 2015 at a pharmacy ownership conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, where Ralph mentored Ryan about starting his own independent pharmacy in Mitchell, which he did in 2017.

In a statement, Anderson said, “I am thrilled to see Engleking Rx taking over Lincoln Plaza as Ryan truly understands the importance of keeping independent pharmacies operating within our communities. We have worked hard on this transition to ensure the continuation and growth of quality healthcare services in Bedford and the surrounding area.”

Engleking, who has been running his own pharmacy in the neighboring town of Mitchell, also expressed his excitement for this new opportunity.

“I am honored to continue the legacy of Lincoln Plaza and build upon Ralph’s excellent work by providing quality and accessible healthcare services to the community,” he said.

Engleking looks forward to working with the current business owners in the plaza and he is anticipating the arrival of the new medical clinic that will be operated by Southern Indiana Community Health Care. Ryan plans to expand the services and products offered by the pharmacy.

This transition has been positive and the efforts of Anderson and Engleking over the last few months have been focused on keeping healthcare services in the north end of town.
