Police respond to business alarm sounding, arrest made

WASHINGTON – On Saturday, June 10, 2023, at approximately 4:45 a.m., Washington Police Department officers responded to a business in the 400 block of East Main Street after an alarm sounded.

When officers arrived at the business they found the glass front door broken.

During a search of the building police located 48-year-old Justin Fitzwater inside.

Officers arrested Fitzwater without incident on a charge of burglary. He is being held without bond in the Daviess County Security Center.

Assisting at the scene were Daviess County Sheriff’s Department deputies.
