June programs at the Jackson County Public Library and its Medora and Crothersville branches

 SEYMOUR – The Jackson County Public Library is offering programs for adults in June:

  • Adult crafters can make an “I’ve Got Sunshine” Suncatcher at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 8 at Medora; or at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, at Crothersville. Registration is required.
  • Learn to save your own seeds at a Seed Saving Workshop at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 9, in Seymour; at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, in Medora; or at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28, in Crothersville. Registration is required.
  • Adults interested in following a plant-based diet are invited to learn from Schneck Nutrition Registered Dietitian Lesley Kendall. Healthy Eating will be offered at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21; or at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, at the Seymour Library. You must register in advance.
  • Adults are invited to register for the True Crime Club to discuss cold case theories at 5 p.m. on Monday, June 26, at the Seymour Library.

Programs offered for teens ages 12-19 will meet in the Seymour Teen Scene unless otherwise noted:

  • The Code, Create, Explore Club will be at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 9. All levels of creators are welcome. Registration is required.
  • Teens age 13-18 are invited to join the Discord server at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, to play Gartic Phone-virtual telephone.
  • Tie Dye Tuesday is open to teens in grades 6-12 at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20. Participants are encouraged to bring their own white t-shirt to dye. Registration is required.
  • Use Perler beads to make Peace Signs at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 23 in Crothersville; and at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 29 in Seymour. You must register in advance.
