BNL’s Patterson finishes 14th in state high jump

BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence’s Braydon Patterson finished tied for 14th in the high jump during the IHSAA boys track state championships on Friday at Indiana University.

Patterson, who just finished his sophomore season, matched his personal best when he cleared 6-6 on his third (and final) jump at that height. He missed all of his attempts at 6-8, which would have tied the school record set by Lane Hawkins in 2019.

Plainfield’s Bode Gilkerson, the top seed, won the event for the second straight year with a leap of 7-0.
