The male caller reported he was at Apron Strings restaurant and saw a male attempting to get into vehicles in the parking lot in front of the DCS office and Apron Springs restaurant. The caller then reported the male was urinating in a vehicle.

When police arrived they were directed to a vehicle by a bystander and found Sorrels standing next to a black Cadillac with the door open. The male was bent over and urinating in the vehicle.

Officers recognized Sorrells from an earlier incident reported at Walmart.

Sorrells stood up and turned around to speak to the officers and police say he was unsteady on his feet and intoxicated. His eyes were glassy and bloodshot.

He was asked what he was doing and Sorrels said “being stupid”. He was asked if the vehicle was his and he said “no”.

Sorrells was detained.

The male caller told police he witnessed Sorrels attempting to get into the DCS office but was unsuccessful. He then went from vehicle to vehicle in the parking lot attempting to open doors. Sorrells then opened the passenger car door of the Cadillac and began urinating in the vehicle.

Police say there was urine on the door frame, on the side of the vehicle, inside the vehicle, and a puddle of urine on the ground by the vehicle.

The owner of the vehicle told police he didn’t know Sorrells and he did not have permission to be in his vehicle.

Sorrells was then arrested.
