Muncie woman arrested for possession of fentanyl 

MUNCIE – A Muncie woman was arrested on Thursday, May 18, 2023, after a trooper discovered she was in possession of Fentanyl after stopping her for a traffic violation.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., Master Trooper Kyle West was patrolling the area of State Road 67 near State Road 3, when he noticed a black, 2017 Chevrolet Malibu traveling at a high rate of speed.  Trooper West determined that the vehicle was traveling 83 miles per hour in the posted 55-mile-per-hour zone and initiated a traffic stop.

Trooper West identified the driver as Kelsie T. Wable, 25, of Muncie, and checked her driving record.  It was determined Wable was wanted out of Steuben County for failure to appear.  During a search of the vehicle, Trooper West located approximately 57 pressed Fentanyl tablets, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Kelsie T. Wable was arrested and preliminarily charged with:

  • Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Level 6 Felony.
  • Possession of paraphernalia, a class A Misdemeanor.
  • Possession of Marijuana, a class B Misdemeanor.

She was transported to the Delaware County Jail without further incident.
