Seymour man arrested following a welfare check

SEYMOUR – On Monday, May 15th Seymour Police Department responded to the 800 block of Jackson Street requesting an officer to check on a man in a shed who was possibly on drugs.

When officers arrived they found 23-year-old Braden Jackson, somewhat lethargic.

Patrol officers received permission to search the location. During the search officers located meth, heroin, fentanyl, marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms, various prescription medications, drug paraphernalia, and three firearms.

Once medically cleared, officers arrested Jackson on felony charges of dealing and possession of meth, dealing and possession of narcotic drugs, maintaining a common nuisance, dealing and possession of marijuana, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
