SEYMOUR – Mitchell High School’s Jillian Bond and Zoey Smith have qualified to compete in IHSAA’s Girls Track and Field Regionals, following the two placing top three in individual events at Tuesday’s sectionals in Seymour.
Bond finished third place in Shot Put, with a top distance of 32′ 0.25″, with the top distance coming from Springs Valley’s Ella Meehan (35′ 3″).
Smith finished in third place in the 800, with a time of 2:35.33. The top time for the event belonged to Allison Hughett (2:29.34).
Regionals will be held at Bloomington North on May 23, starting at 6 p.m.
