Gaylor Electric students graduate from their work-based learning program

NOBLESVILLE – Gaylor Electric’s high school, The Crossing School of Business & Entrepreneurship, graduated 9 individuals from their work-based learning program. The Crossing helps shape the lives of struggling students and gives them the opportunity, resources, and mentors to reach their goals.

Most students at The Crossing have been faced with hardships such as being expelled, going to juvey, having an unpredictable life at home, and others. This accomplishment speaks volumes to the student’s dedication to overcoming life battles and recommitting to pursuing a diploma.

“I really value the relationship between The Crossing and Gaylor Electric,” said Chuck Goodrich, President & CEO of Gaylor Electric. “One of our biggest values is lifelong learning, and the opportunity to educate students in both academics and onsite electrical training is fulfilling.”

Gaylor Electric Crossing School of Business & Entrepreneurship Satellite campus services students directly inside the Gaylor Electric business. The students have their very own “campus” fully equipped with a classroom of computers for students to fulfill their academics and their own family time room space. For the job training portion of their day, students work alongside Gaylor Electric employees giving them a hands-on approach to learning how to run and maintain a business.

In addition, the satellite campus offers networking opportunities for students to connect with other like-minded individuals in the field. This unique arrangement provides a well-rounded education for students, combining academic knowledge with practical experience and real-world application.

The goal of the Gaylor Electric Crossing School of Business & Entrepreneurship is to equip its students with the tools and skills they need to succeed in the business world and make a positive impact in their communities.

“I never looked at graduation as the end of anything,” said Jeff Bryant, Director of Gaylor University. “Graduation is really just a step so you can get started in a career and the rest of your life.”
