Alan Patrick Roberts, 52, of Bedford, passed away Thursday morning May 11, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
Alan lived a life of dreams. He was a passionate fan of IU sports, the Cincinnati Reds, the Chicago Bears, and the Indianapolis Colts. He lived a life of his own, rivaling his buddies Bo and Luke Duke. He sang with Sha Na Na and danced with Michael Jackson.
He enjoyed helping at the Walk to Emmaus driving the golf cart and terrifying his passengers. He traveled to distant Disney lands and explored the frontiers. He loved his family and his Oreo cookies. Alan was a gifted writer, and he enjoyed drafting intelligent sports discussions and writing funny antidotes for his friends.
Those of you who missed out on meeting Alan here will have to wait until your number is up and see him in heaven where he had made a reservation. He’ll be the one eating Twinkies and listening to music from
the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. We who are left behind will miss him.
A Celebration of Life for Alan P. Roberts will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Crossroads Community Church, 5000 St Rd 37 North, Bedford, IN, followed by a Memorial Service at 4 p.m., also at Crossroads Community Church.
