BNL celebrated Senior Night while conquering Barr-Reeve on Thursday.

BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence celebrated Senior Night with a 117-81 win over Barr-Reeve during Unified track action on Thursday.

The Stars won every scoring event, and Brax Huber set a school record in the 400 meter dash.

Individual winners for BNL included Trace Walters (shot put at 39-5), Kadin Mullis (long jump at 16-9), Ethan Robinson (100 meter dash in 12.95) and Huber (400 in 54.99).

“The kids looked very good tonight,” BNL coach Mike Branam said. “Coming off a great meet last night, they really wanted to keep that intensity going. It is a great way to end the regular season.”

BNL also won the boys relay (Robinson, Koltyn Clute, Josh Morales and Huber in 50.36) and the girls relay (Gracelyn Arthur, Sam Biel, Tori Logsdon and Harley Tanksley in 1:03.46).

“Most of the kids seem to be hitting their stride right now,” Branam said. “Starting Monday, we will focus on the sectional meet, and I really think we will see some season-best performances down in Jasper.

“This is an amazing group of seniors. They have been a fun group to coach. They have had a single goal – to be the first group of seniors to make it to the state finals three times. They are working every day to get this team back there this year, to make that dream a reality.”

BNL will compete in the sectional on May 20.
