Highway crews are washing bridges, mowing, and patching potholes

BEDFORD – Highway Superintendent Brandi Webb told the commissioners Tuesday morning that crews have been busy washing bridges, mowing, and patching potholes.

Work continues to repair Bridge 150 on Mill Creek Road.

Bridge 150 is a continuous encased steel beam bridge constructed around 1930-1935 

“The closing of the bridge has been delayed,” added Webb. “It will be after the holidays, possibly the first week of June.”

The Lawrence County Commissioner approved a contract with CLR for $2.6 million to replace Bridge 150. The county will pay $319,536.10.
