NORTH VERNON – Bedford North Lawrence posted three individual wins during the Big Blue Relays at Jennings County on Thursday.
In the boys meet, the Stars finished third with 93 points, while Jennings County won the team title with 138. In the girls meet, BNL was fifth with 52 points. The Panthers won that crown with 111 points.
BNL’s Braydon Patterson won the high jump while clearing 6-2, and Carter Kimmel took the discus with a throw of 145-11. Other top finishers for the Stars included Frank Decker (second in the pole vault at 10-6) and Jimmy Farmer (second in the discus at 126-0).
In the girls meet, BNL’s Ellie Anderson won the long jump with a leap of 15-8 1/2. The Stars also finished second in three relays (800 relay in 1:58.20, 400-meter relay, and 800 medley relay).
The Stars will compete in the Hoosier Hills Conference girls meet at Jennings on Tuesday.
