Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales is reminding Hoosiers to get out and vote

INDIANAPOLIS – Today is Primary Election Day. Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales is reminding Hoosiers to get out and vote!

Secretary Morales

Secretary Morales is traveling around central Indiana today, making stops to thank election administrators and volunteers. Hamilton County and Boone County were among his first couple stops this morning. Secretary Morales also voted earlier today in Marion County before traveling to other counties.  Please feel free to use pictures from today’s visits that are attached.

Though Election Day is a state holiday, the Secretary of State’s office and the Election Division are open to assist election workers and voters.

Hoosiers should check with their county election office for local voting locations and hours. Hoosiers can check their voting status, find polling locations, and see a sample ballot at IndianaVoters.com Today, polls are open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time.  A valid photo ID is required to vote.

Voters who are in line when the polls close should stay in that line.  You will still be allowed to vote.

“Hoosiers, make a plan to get out and vote. Make your voice heard in your elections. I cannot say thank you enough to the hardworking county clerks, election workers, and volunteers.  Primary Election Day would not be a success without your commitment,” said Secretary Morales.

There is a toll-free number established for any accessibility concerns or to report suspected fraud. Hoosiers can call 866.IN1.VOTE (866.461.8683). There will be a staff member answering calls from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on weekdays and 6:00 a.m.-7 p.m. (Indianapolis time) on Primary Election Day.
