Lacey was wanted on three active warrants, two in Orange County and one in Martin County.

When police arrived they noticed Lacey standing by a dump truck. When Lacey spotted the officer he began walking away from them and attempted to hide in front of another dump truck on the property.

An officer ran toward Lacey and he was detained without incident.

Lacey told police he was living on the property and was working on his dump truck.

Police then spoke to the property owner who told police Lacey didn’t own the dump truck, but she did. She told police Lacey was not to be on her property and the property was posted with multiple no-trespassing signs.

Central Dispatch had received multiple calls from the property owner in regards to Lacey sneaking on the
property and attempting to steal the dump truck and other items on the property.

An officer searched Lacey’s pockets and found three suboxone pills Lacey did not have a prescription for.

Lacey was arrested on charges of criminal trespass, theft, and possession of a controlled substance and three outstanding warrants.
