Man arrested after stealing vehicle in Louisville, Ky.

OOLITIC – On Thursday, April 20th, at approximately 11:15 a.m. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Captain Andrew Phillips conducted a traffic stop along State Road 37, near Patton Hill Road.

The officers stopped a male driving a Jeep that had been reported stolen from Louisville, Ky.

After an investigation and interview, Capt. Phillips arrested the driver of the stolen Jeep 41-year-old Michael Lentz, who told police he was homeless, on a charge of auto theft.

Capt. Phillips was assisted by Lawrence County Sergeant Lonnie Johnson and Oolitic Town Marshals James Harrington and Shawn Cabral.
