BNL races to second in Unified meet

ELLETTSVILLE – Bedford North Lawrence finished second during the three-team Unified track meet at Edgewood on Tuesday.

Bloomington South won the meet with 139 points, followed by the Stars (122) and Mustangs (89).

Winners for BNL included the girls 400 relay (GracElon Arthur, Samantha Biel, Tori Logsdon and Harley Tanksley in 1:04.57), the boys 400 relay (Ethan Robinson, Koltyn Clute, Joshua Morales and Brax Huber in 51.13), Patric Matson (400 in 1:04.98), Kadin Mullis (16-7 in the long jump), Asher Arce (28-2 in the shot put), Brax Huber (400 in 55.66) and Justice Krutchen (9-7 in the long jump).

“We ran into a very tough South team, who had a stellar night, and some of our kids had an off night,” BNL coach Mike Branam said. “We will go back to the track, focus on a few things mechanically and mentally.”

BNL will host the Hoosier Hills Conference meet on Saturday.
