Mitchell boys beat Borden in Track and Field events on Thursday

MITCHELL – On Thursday, Mitchell High School welcomed Borden to compete against their Unified Track and Field team.

The Bluejackets’ boys bested the Braves 74-48, with Mitchell’s Jacob Mooneyham (39′ 8 1/2 in Shot Put”), Nate Robertson (121′ 5 1/2″ in Discus) and Adam Oster (53.21 in the 400) earning first place finishes.

Gavin Robinson earned three first place finishes on the day for the Bluejackets, those being in Long Jump (19′ 11″), High Jump ( 5′ 2″ ) and the 100 (11.56).

Mitchell’s girls were beaten by Borden 83-35, despite first place finishes from Jorja Lamm, Allison Hudson and Jillian Bond.

Lamm earned the top spot against the Braves in Long Jump (15′ 3″), while Hudson was victorious in the 100 hurdle (21.81).

Bond finished with the top distance in both Discuss (73′ 1 1/2″) and Shot Put (32′ 6″).
