Tip leads to arrest of South Bend woman for dealing meth and cocaine

ST. JOSEPH CO. – Tuesday an investigation into a South Bend woman for dealing drugs concluded with an arrest for dealing methamphetamine and cocaine after a tip led to a lengthy investigation.

Troopers with the Indiana State Police Bremen Post All Crimes Policing Team (ACP) served a search warrant at a residence in the 52000 block of Myrtle Avenue in South Bend, IN at approximately 9:30 a.m. on April 18, 2023.  This warrant was obtained after an investigation into suspected drug dealing after troopers received a tip months ago.

This warrant led to the discovery of approximately 14.2 grams of suspected cocaine, approximately 16.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and numerous pills identified as narcotics, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Carolina Hooker, 43 of South Bend, was arrested for dealing cocaine, dealing methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug, possession of a controlled substance Schedule II, possession of a narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance. Hooker was taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.
