MIAMI CO. – On Friday, April 14, 2023, detectives with the Indiana State Police Peru Post were contacted by the Miami County Department of Child Services concerning allegations of child molestation involving Daniel McNear, 29 of Peru, IN.
Detective Jonathan Cole began an investigation that concluded Tuesday, April 18 with the arrest of McNear for six counts of child molesting, Level 1 felony, and two counts of child molesting, Level 4 felony. McNear is being detained in the Miami County Jail.
