Woman complains of hip and leg pain after car crash

WILLIAMS – A Williams woman was injured when she crashed her car on Williams Road on Tuesday, April 11th. The accident was reported at 7:06 p.m.

According to a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department report, Brittany Waggoner, 28, was traveling north toward Bedford on State Road 450 when she began to fall ill. She told police she was having a seizure and could not stop the vehicle.

Her tan Ford Focus left the right side of the road and down an embankment. The car traveled 20 feet west of the roadway coming to a stop at the concrete culvert. 

EMS personnel from two IU LifeLine ambulances and Indian Creek Volunteer Fire Department firefighters freed Waggoner from the wreckage.

Waggoner complained of hip and leg pain. She was transported by ambulance to IU Health Hospital for treatment.

The vehicle was driven from the scene by Waggoner’s husband. Damages were estimated under $1,000.
