Joint operation leads to the arrest of a Cambridge City man for dealing meth

CAMBRIDGE CITY – A joint operation between the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section and the Wayne County Drug Task Force lead to the arrest of a Cambridge City man for multiple felony charges.

On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, A trooper with the Indiana State Police, along with officers from Richmond Police Department, Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, and Cambridge City Police Department went to 207 E. Church Street, Cambridge City to serve an arrest warrant on Michael D.  Hickmott, 49, of Cambridge City, after a four-month long investigation for dealing methamphetamine.  Hickmott was located at the residence and was taken into custody without further incident on preliminary charges of dealing and possession of meth.

Hickmott was taken to the Wayne County Jail and held with no bond.
