Temporary, emergency stoppage on I-65 in Clinton County to restore power to residents impacted by recent storms

CLINTON CO. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a temporary, emergency stoppage on I-65 near County Road 500 S. to allow emergency crews to restore power to Clinton County residents who have been without power since the storms hit this past Friday.

This temporary stoppage of traffic is expected to start as early as 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 3, and last for at least 20 minutes. 

Emergency crews will be moving a power line across the interstate, in order to restore power. Indiana State Police, along with INDOT personnel will be on-site to assist and control traffic. INDOT urges motorists to expect delays during this time. If motorists are able, INDOT urges them to seek alternate routes.
