Troopers investigating a fatal crash on I-70 near Ronald Reagan Parkway

INDIANAPOLIS – Sunday, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Indiana State Troopers, along with other first responders were called to the scene of a serious crash on I-70 eastbound just east of Ronald Reagan Parkway. 911 callers were reporting a motorcycle, a semi, and a car were involved and the motorcycle rider was unresponsive.

When Trooper Kendra Gonzalez arrived on the scene she located an adult male lying on the ground unconscious and unresponsive. Trooper Gonzalez began emergency medical aid including CPR and the deployment of an AED. Despite life-saving efforts, the male was pronounced deceased on the scene a short time later.

There were no other injuries in this crash.

Indiana State Police Crash Reconstructionists are working to determine what caused the crash. During the investigation, the collector ramp from Ronald Reagan and Ameriplex Parkway to I-70 eastbound was closed.

This investigation is ongoing and there is no further information to release. The Marion County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene to assist with the investigation and recover the remains of the deceased.
