Teen arrested after interfering with an investigation and confronting an officer

BEDFORD – A Bedford teen was arrested after Bedford Police officers were requested to Wendy’s at 5:03 p.m. on Sunday after a report of a fight.

The fight was between two males. One male accused the other of throwing food at him inside the establishment and hitting him with a meal tray. The males then went outside and got into a physical altercation. They both refused to file charges and both were issued no-trespass orders preventing them from returning to Wendy’s.

When officers arrived they spoke to witnesses and the victims. The accused 16-year-old female was inside a vehicle. While speaking to witnesses and the victims the female kept getting out of the vehicle and interfering with the investigation.

She was told numerous times to stay in the vehicle. The teen refused to comply and an officer told the teen to come with him. The teen approached the officer in an agitated manner and got in the officer’s face. The officer then attempted to place the female teen in handcuffs and she resisted and forcibly pulled away from the officer. The teen was placed in handcuffs and into a police vehicle. She was taken to the Bedford Police Department and juvenile probation was contacted. She was released to her father and issued a summons to appear in court on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
