Monroe County Sheriff’s Department deputies seize large quantities of drugs following report of suspicious vehicle

MONROE CO. — Monroe County Sheriff’s Department deputies arrested a man Tuesday after finding Xanax, methamphetamine, MDMA, and fentanyl during an investigation.

Deputies were investigating a “suspicious vehicle” near West State Road 45 and South Leonard Springs Road.

The driver of the vehicle, Jeremy Tarter, was found with more than 100 Xanax bars, more than 23 grams of meth, and smaller quantities of both MDMA and fentanyl.

MDMA is a synthetic drug that acts as a stimulant and hallucinogen.

His passenger was also arrested on two felony arrest warrants.
