Lawrence County Emergency Management will present an updated Hazard Mitigation Plan on April 19th

BEDFORD – The Federal Government in particular FEMA requires Lawrence County Emergency Management to do a Hazard Mitigation Plan every 3 to 5 years.

“We have been working on strategies to lessen or prevent the impact of disasters on Lawrence County,” said Emergency Management Director Valerie Luchauer. “During this meeting, we will review the top disasters that are expected to affect Lawrence County and steps to lessen them.”

The meeting will be held on April 19th at 7 p.m. at the City Concourse at 1402 H Street. 

The meeting will last approximately an hour.
