Joint Narcotic Unit’s drug raid seizes guns, meth, marijuana and money

SEYMOUR – Jackson County Sheriff’s Department and Seymour Police Department’s Joint Narcotics Unit arrested two on drug charges after they conducted a drug raid Friday afternoon at Maple Springs Apartments on South Jackson Park Drive.

Hayden Kinsler, 21, and Allie Wingler, 20, both are facing charges of dealing in a controlled substance, dealing marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, visiting and maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a news release from Jackson County Sheriff Rick Meyer, the joint narcotics unit initiated an investigation after a traffic stop that led to suspected narcotics activity involving individuals living at the apartment complex.

On Friday, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department Officer Justin Amos obtained a search warrant signed by Jackson Superior Court II Judge Bruce MacTavish for Apartment 312.

During a search of that apartment, officers seized numerous items including approximately 15 “M30” counterfeit tablets (suspected of containing fentanyl), marijuana, digital scales, packaging material, approximately $2,900, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.

Police also located and seized a loaded handgun and a loaded shotgun found in the apartment.
