BNL’s Leach, Staggs earn All-HHC honors

BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence seniors Colten Leach and Colton Staggs were named to the All-Hoosier Hills Conference team by the league coaches.

Leach, who was also First Team in 2022, paced the Stars in scoring (17.5), rebounds (9.2) and assists (4.2) as BNL went 16-7 and won a share of the conference title. He finished seventh on the school’s career scoring list with 1,137 points.

Staggs contributed 11.2 points, powering BNL to a 5-1 league record and its first HHC crown since 2011.

BNL’s Colten Leach was selected All-HHC after leading the Stars in scoring, rebounding and assists.

The rest of the First Team included Jennings County’s Keegan Manowitz, Owen Law and Carter Kent (the trio that propelled the Panthers to a Class 4A regional title), Jeffersonville’s Tre Singleton and P.J. Douglas, New Albany’s Jeremy Rose, Floyd Central’s Caleb Washington and Seymour’s Landon Fritsch.

BNL’s Jeff Hein shared Coach of the Year honors with Jennings County’s Josh Land and Jeffersonville’s Sherron Wilkerson

BNL junior Noah Godlevske earned Honorable Mention status. He averaged 10.8 points and shot 50 percent from 3-point range.
