Resignation of two LCIS board members announced during Monday’s meeting

FAYETTEVILLE – It was announced during Monday’s meeting of the Lawrence County Independent Schools board of trustees that two board members, board president Eric Johnson and founding member Ryan Turner would be resigning.

Neither Johnson or Turner were present at the meeting to explain their decision.

Their resignations leave the board with just three members: Corey Hudson, Jason Lyons and Brian Grissom.

Hudson will serve as the new president of the board, with Lyons as secretary and Grissom as treasurer.

The board will soon be seeking applications for new members, at which time interested community members are encouraged to apply.
