Shots fired during a road rage incident

INDIANAPOLIS – Just after 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, Indiana State Troopers responded to an emergency 911 call reporting a road rage incident that led to gunfire.

The 911 caller was able to give a detailed description of the suspect vehicle and indicated it was exiting from I-465 onto I-65 northbound on the city’s south side, directly toward an area where troopers were on the scene of an unrelated crash.

Within minutes of the 911 call, troopers saw the suspect’s vehicle pass the crash scene and they were able to get the car pulled over.

An investigation into the incident, and discovery of evidence, led troopers to determine the driver of a red Nissan engaged in a road rage incident with another driver and subsequently fired at least one shot toward that person’s vehicle while driving on I-465.

The driver of the Nissan, 20-year-old Xavion Eubank of Indianapolis, was arrested and transported to the Marion County Jail. He faces the preliminary charges of criminal recklessness, intimidation with a deadly weapon, and possession of marijuana. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.
