Sanders who has been on the run since January 30th is wanted in Martin County on charges of battery resulting in bodily injury to a police officer, resisting arrest, reckless driving, and a felony probation warrant.

He began an investigation with Indiana State Trooper Chance Humphrey. The two officers were able to gather probable cause on the exact location through a variety of investigative techniques.

On Wednesday, March 1, Officer Trueblood and Trp. Humphrey was working on obtaining a search warrant and planning its execution at a residence in East Oolitic. A plain clothes trooper observed Sanders in a pick-up truck, traveling east on East Oolitic Road, then south on Peerless Road.

Due to the fact that the investigating officers were not in the area, Sheriff Greg Day drove toward the area. He observed the truck and conducted a traffic stop. He, and plain clothes troopers, detained Sanders, without incident.
