OOLITIC – At approximately 1 p.m. on Friday, February 24th, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the 1100 block of Lafayette Avenue reporting the discovery of a deceased male.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the death did not appear to be from natural causes.
Lawrence County detectives, officers, command personnel, the Sheriff, and the Chief Deputy responded and began an investigation. Indiana State Police crime scene technicians assisted with processing the scene.
At this time, the investigation continues and the scene is still secured for continued processing and evidence collection.
Additional information will be forthcoming, and the identity of the deceased male will be released once family notifications are made.
