Judge orders prison sentence for Bedford man who failed to comply with probation terms

BEDFORD – On Thursday, February 16, a Bedford man was sentenced to the Indiana Department of Correction by Lawrence Superior Court II Judge Robert Cline after failing to comply with the terms of his probation.

Owen B. Watson, 26, Bedford, pleaded guilty to possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony, on June 2, 2022, as a part of a negotiated plea agreement with the State of Indiana. He was originally sentenced to 910 days, with time served, and the remainder of his sentence suspended. He was ordered to serve 730 days on supervised probation in exchange for his guilty plea.

However, after failing to comply with the terms and conditions of his probation, on February 17, 2023, Cline sentenced Watson to 800 days in the Indiana Department of Correction.
