Phyllis Harris, 91, of Plainfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, surrounded by loving family members.
She was born on July 18, 1931, in Bloomington, IN to the late Ben Srygley and Louise Hiestand. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and cross-stitching in her free time.
Phyllis loved spending time with her family as often as she could.
She was a member of the Belleville Church of Christ. Phyllis was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Harris.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry (Eva), Sam, and John (Tammy) Harris; daughter, Loretta (Richard) Cummins; brothers, Terry and David Hiestand; sister, Connie (Steve) Conklin; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 6, 2023, in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Day & Carter Mortuary where friends may visit from Noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Pinhook Cemetery.
