Lois Marie Seagraves, 79, of Foley, AL, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2023, at her home.
Born in Lawrence County, IN on April 13, 1943, she was the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Hess and Orville Parsley. She married William R. Seagraves on May 7, 1966, and he survives.
Lois was a housewife and a cosmetologist. She enjoyed quilting and art. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1961 and Indianapolis Cosmetology School in 1962. She was a member of the Gulf Shores United Methodist Church.
Surviving to cherish the memory of Lois is her husband, William R. Seagraves; two children, Monica (Paul) Ayers and Chandler (Teri) Seagraves; her mother, Margaret Hess; two siblings, Camille (Larry) Bender and Tom Hess; five grandchildren, Courtney Coutinho, John O’Connor, Kyle O’Conner, Sophia Ayers, and Georgie Seagraves; and two great-grandchildren, Kieron Coutinho and Vivienne Coutinho.
Lois is preceded in death by her stepfather, Thomas Hess; father, Orville Parsley; stepmother, Arla Parsley; brother, Gerald Parsley; and sister, Rhea Dawn Wisley.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford, IN. Burial will follow at the Beyers-Rainbolt Cemetery in Springville, IN. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to the service time on Friday, also at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
