Obituary: Jack Doyle Allen

May 14, 1961 – January 11, 2022

Jack Doyle Allen, 61, of Indianapolis, passed away at 7:05 a.m. at his home after a battle with lung disease.

Born May 14, 1961, in Indianapolis Indiana. He was the son of Darrell Allen and Sharon (Conway) Flohr. He graduated from Warren Central High School in 1979 and studied auto body at Walker Career Center. He married Patricia Tyson on May 1, 1981, and she proceeded him in death in 1990. 

He worked at Regal Beloit in Mitchell and owned his own auto body shop in Lawrence County. He was a member of the Capital City Conservation Club. He loved cooking, fishing, camping, Nascar, the Madison Regatta, and spending time with those that he loved. He was also passionate about classic cars and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. 

Survivors include his girlfriend Marcy Weidman of Indianapolis; his children Josh Johnson of Pendleton, Nicholas Allen of Bedford, and Alicia (Joshua) Johnson of Bedford; sisters Mary (Denny) Raines, Toni (Ted) King, Darlene Allen, Tammy (Tony) Nevins; his parents Darrell Allen of Pendleton and Sharon (Ron) Flohr of Greenfield; grandchildren Trever, Alex and Ellie Johnson, and Logan and Lilly Johnson; great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Allen and his brother Darrell “Buck” Allen II. 

Cremation was his wish. 

A memorial service/celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Capital City Conservation Club in Franklin, Indiana.
